Michelle Yao is a senior in Columbia College majoring in Biology and a concentration in Hispanic Studies. Alongside Sabrina Salam, she is leading a project to develop a course in Medical Spanish Conversation that enables undergraduate students interested in the intersection of medicine and the Spanish language to improve their cultural competency and communication as future professionals in healthcare and other related fields.
