Current Scholars
Sophia is a sophomore in Columbia College majoring in biochemistry. She enjoys new experiences related to molecular biology and neuroscience, and has found an interesting convergence between these disciplines in the realm of genetics. With RCSS, she teaches high schoolers from New York City about the human genome and lab techniques used in DNA sequencing (find her RCSS project here). This project fosters connections within the community while sparking scientific curiosity in young students.
