The “Voices of TCC” initiative aims to encourage TCC residents to participate in their community by sharing their stories and creativity. Resident artwork and writing will be compiled into a booklet and distributed among residents. The hope is that by reading, seeing, and hearing one another’s creative work, residents can connect with one another and build community.
TCC’s Art Therapy program has revealed an interest and talent in creating art among residents at the center. The “Voices of TCC” initiative hopes to build on this interest by compiling resident artwork and writing into a booklet that will then be distributed, so that residents can see their peers’ works. If there is enough interest, we will put together a showcase in the spring semester where artwork will be displayed and written works can be read out loud.
